Will Australian guests need a visa for Bali?

Australian passport holders need a Visa on Arrival, which costs IDR 500,000 (about AUD $50) and is bought on landing at Denpasar. It is valid for 30 days. We send your guests a one-page travel pack with the steps and current prices.

Is the marriage legal back in Australia?

Yes. If you complete the Indonesian civil ceremony (we organise the celebrant, paperwork, and the Department of Religious Affairs registration), the marriage is recognised by the Australian Government under the Marriage Act. You can register it at the relevant state registry on return, but most couples just keep the Indonesian certificate — it is recognised at face value.

How long do guests need to take off work?

Most AU guests take a Wednesday-to-Sunday or a Thursday-to-Monday — three to four nights. We design the wedding week assuming most guests are travelling from AU and want to be back at their desks Monday or Tuesday.

A 60–80 guest Bali wedding planned through us typically lands between AUD $50,000 and $90,000. The exchange rate works in your favour — the same wedding at a comparable Australian regional venue would typically run $90,000–$140,000.

Do you have an Australian-registered business?

Accepted Answer

Our parent entity is Bali Love Pte Ltd in Singapore — contracts are governed under Singapore law, which gives Australian couples stronger consumer protections than most Indonesian local agencies. We bank in AUD and SGD, and you can pay invoices from any AU bank account.
