Plan Your Bali Wedding Around Bali’s Festival Season: The best months to have your wedding in Bali
The first, and most important factor to consider when choosing the date for your Bali wedding is the weather. No doubt you are dreaming of the perfect beachfront wedding, with picturesque Balinese gardens, twinkly lights, epic sunset views, and sipping champagne into the night under palm trees. You won’t be doing any of this if it’s raining!
We advise you to stay safe, and choose a date between April and October. During this season, the weather is dry, avoiding the Monsoon Season with the highest risk of rain.
Secondly, your guests are spending money on flights and accommodation to be there for your special day. Of course they love you, but they would love you even more if you provide extra Island fun for their trip! Consider planning your Bali wedding to coincide with one of Bali’s famous festivals, and your guests can make a real holiday out of it:
For foodies
Ubud Food Festival attracts restaurateurs, Chefs, farmers and innovative food businesses from all over Indonesia. It takes place in Ubud for a few days every May-June (check their website for confirmed dates every year), and it’s free entry! Ubud’s restaurant scene blows up with special Ubud Food Festival Week Menus, taking advantage of all the extra food business people in town. An incredible opportunity for your wedding party to go and experience all the incredible food from around Indonesia, they also have live music in the evening at an open-air food market for a great night out.

For cocktail lovers
Negroni Week started in 2013 on a mission to get people drinking Negronis around the world, AND raise a bunch of money for charities at the same time. It’s grown so huge that they’ve raised over $3 million worldwide so far. And the mixologists and hidden back-street speakeasies of Seminyak absolutely LOVE it. What does that mean for your wedding? Well, all the best cocktail bars in Bali will have special Negroni and Gin-themed cocktail menus to celebrate the week, with some extra special prices as well. Cocktails for a cause? What’s not to love…
What? Negroni Week
When? For one whole week in early September

*Our top tips for Bali’s best speakeasies:
Forty Thieves – this one has been around for years, a real classic
The Shady Pig – born in the pandemic, you need a password for this one! Just message them on Instagram to ask for it 😉
Baker Street Social – the new kid on the block!
For yogis
For one whole week, the world’s spiritual community congregates in Ubud for workshops, concerts, markets and other enlightening events! But it’s not just about yoga, you’ll find fun workshops for different styles of dance, martial arts, breathwork, meditation, wellness and even fun creative workshops for the kids. Finishing the week on a high, everyone celebrates at a 2-day open air Global Music Festival. If this is your idea of fun, your guests will love it.
